The road I’ve taken

When I was little I put myself to sleep during some high sensory experiences. Before getting shots, When getting an IV , When other babies around me were crying.
I used to sit in a “W” I went to PT (Physical Therapy) and OT (Occupational therapy) that got corrected.

I’m on the far right ->
I went to public school K through 5th grades. I got help with math & speech therapy as well. I went to reading classes, math classes & summer camp at Rockford College.
There some things like headstands, cartwheels, buttons & snaps that were challenging. These things challenges frustrated me. With patience and guidance I got through.
There were also things like swimming and riding a bike that I in some ways literally took off at.

I went to private school 6th through 12 grades. I made honor roll at the end of Jr high & in High school too. I had some great teachers along the way who helped me to make enough sense of math to make the honor roll.
As a cousin who wasn’t the oldest but, wasn’t the youngest I’ve had practice with being nurturing .
When I was younger I wanted to be a nurse.
For quite a few years I did some ambulatory care taking residents at a nursing home to church.
I’ve been recognized as a leader and have advocated.
You could look at numerous different people on the spectrum and each of their timelines would be filled with different life events & a different (or similar) order in how they occurred.
There’s no right or wrong way get somewhere .
